Hi there,
I have a question I have not managed to find in the books. The First World has prototype versions of the plants and animals of the Material Plane. Are they also considered plants and animals? Are they magical plants (?) and magical beasts?. Are they fey/something else?
What creature type/subtype should I consider creatures I create in the First World?
Excerpt from page 66 of Sound of a Thousand Screams:
"Nearly every creature that has ever existed on the Material Plane still has a prototype within the First World, many with strange traits that never made it into the final design. In the First World, wolves might have tentacles, birds reptilian tails, or badgers giraffe-like necks to steal honey from the hives of intelligent bees."
Thanks in advance!

For anyone with the same question, I have now found this specific rule, it's on page 8 (and not on the Bestiary section like I was looking for).
They are exactly what they were before. That same book explains that there is no simple template for creating First World monsters, you simply add arms or wings or 10-20HD, and call it good.
A troll is still a troll, a dinosaur is still a dinosaur, etc.

In the last book of the Kingmaker campaign, you are introduced to a whole bunch of different things from the First World.
They are the same thing as their type on the Material Plane... they just usually have extraordinary adaptations, as if their contact with the First World has advanced them in evolution, but still within their own species.
I think the Fey-themed templates, and the aforementioned Primordial template are excellent places to start, but I would avoid changing the base creature's type entirely from its original type.
There is absolutely no indication that all creatures from the First World are now considered Fey, and you should avoid muddying the waters where this distinction is, and needs to be.
Kingmaker avoids providing a template, and encourages the GM to simply add extra fun to existing creatures, exactly to avoid turning everything Fey with a special template for First World creatures.

Linnorms do originate from the First World.
Giants are also found in the First World.
Fey are among the most common things found there...that are intelligent.
Any animal(living or extinct) found on Earth, can be found in the First World. Keep in mind when I saw animal I also mean vermin as well.
Also it's not uncommon to have strange variants of existing creatures like a frost giant with four arms, fire breathing wolf with fast healing/regeneration, giant versions of small animals/creatures, small versions of big animals/creatures, magical talking fish that grants wishes, etc.
Don't forget that food from the First world can have strange effects on non-fey characters/creatures.
