How does the Cave Druid and Oozemorph Shifter work when mixed?
They appear to compliment each other very well...
Is an Oozemorph Shifter technically ALWAYS under a polymorph effect?
Does mixing Cave Druid not work at all because it depends on polymorph effects?
In a gestalt world, this has awesome flavor... if it works, at all, in the slightest.

An oozemorph shifter is under a polymorph effect whenever they're not a puddle. A cave druid oozemorph could wild shape into a different puddle, but I don't see the synergy.
I thought that there was this thing about Cave Druid puddles that people were into, that's all.
Your ability to be this ooze or that ooze is not dependent upon being consecutive, and having the Carnivorous Crystal as an option is, well, nice...

Just casually Oozemorph around in humanoid form and Carnivorous Crystal Hulk Smash when provoked. Everyone has to rest/sleep, you are allowed to puddle up, too.
The cave druid doesn't get anything other than full BAB & a good reflex save from the oozemorph (they can just not-be-wild-shaped to be humanoid with any other gestalt class) but yeah, works as far as that goes.

Sure, anyone can gestalt anything with a Druid. You are correct.

Nobody ever would willingly waste half their gestalt on the Druid class, but that's just my opinion.
This is more for an interesting NPC, more than anything.
And I get that I could just "make" it work, but I wanted to see if it was in any way legit.

As for how you would play it...
Are there quickened shift feats?
Extended duration shift feats?
Like metamagic feats for spells?
Is it possible to go from blob to blob relatively FLUIDLY?
Obviously need Vital Strike feats, and the full BAB helps in this regard.
There's the quick wild shape feat, or for a shifter // druid the shifter's rush feat should work to a similar purpose. And yes there's a bunch of other such feats - on AoN go to the search page, deselect everything except feats, type wild shape in the search string box then click Search to get a list.
