Variant Rules: Armor as DR and DR / cold iron

In the Armor as DR variant rules does DR/ cold iron (e.g. from a fey creature) stack with the DR given by natural armor?

DR does not stack. You use the largest applicable DR.

DR/armor does stack with other DR under this rules variant. A natural armor bonus provides DR/armor. Ergo, it stacks.

...Reading up on the ways armor-as-DR functions differently based on source et al., this variant is complicated. Between that and the overloading of the "DR/" notation, now I remember why I never bothered to try using it.
