Upgrade items prices (Runes and magical items)

Rules Discussion

I know that the fundamental runes prices for an upgrade is the difference between the two version.
But, is this the case for property rune like Slick Rune for example ?
Who actually is 45Gp for the basic version, 450gp for the greater and 9000gp for the major.
Can i upgrade it like i upgrade fundamentals, with the difference between two levels of runes ?

And if is the case, does it work for magical items ?
Like Cloak of the bat (950gp the basic price and 13000gp the greater version)

P.S: Sorry for my english, i don't know if it's clear

Yes, it works the same way:

You can upgrade a property rune to a higher-level type of that rune in the same way you would upgrade a fundamental rune.

I think so, because of the use of "upgrades" in

CRB page 535, Multiple Types wrote:
For some items, the types listed are upgrades to the base item. For other items, such as aeon stones and wondrous figurines, each type is distinct from the others.

But it doesn't actually say "works like rune upgrades," so I'm not positive. Maybe someone else will chime in with a clearer reference. If not, check how your GM reads that part before relying on it.

Your English is fine, btw. :)

Just to note: you can't just pay gold and have your rune (or rune-etched item) auto-upgraded.

Someone must have magical crafting. If not you, then an ally or NPC.

Some GMs will assume the Magic Shoppe that offers the greater rune for sale also has a NPC capable of transferring/upgrading it. Others won't.

Thanks for the quick response.
I will discuss it with with my GMs while i'm waiting for more answers

This is incorrect.

Based on Table 11-6 Weapon upgrade prices on page 582 of the Core Rulebook, all you need to do is pay the difference.

Same for upgrading armor.

And succeed at the Craft activity, the level of which is indicated right next to the upgrade costs on the very table you referenced. Hence no "auto-upgrade."

That's only if you're Crafting it.

Oh, boy! Can we have this whole argument again? Can we can we can we?

No.

Someone must be a crafter.

Me: I thought this fight was over?

Narrator: It wasn't.

Morgan Freeman: And so they started down the path again, unaware of what was about to befall them.

In short, this has been discussed in a previous thread, please REFRAIN FROM REHASHING this debate here.
Previous thread. Note that that thread, I believe is the most *recent* rehash (maybe the only one on this particular forum?). But it also has links to other threads discussing the whole thing.
