This is a PF1st edition question.
So I'm looking to make a custom magic item based off of Visualization of the Mind spell. I am a wizard, so for this item the spell level is 2 and the castor level would be 3. The spell also has a spell component cost of 200gp, I'm also looking to make this a command word/constant affect.
If I am doing this right the formula should be this.
Spell level (2) X caster level (3) X 2000gp
This comes out to 10,000gp
Then because it has a spell component cost of 200gp, I then have to add this formula to the cost.
200gp (spell component cost) X 100
This comes out to 20,000
Adding these together the total item cost should be 30,000gp.
So all in all this item would attune to a mental stat boosting skills that ran off of that mental stat, then if you were to use the immediate action option in the spell it would end the effect for 24hrs after which it would resume. Upon creation you choose the stat the spell is based on.
Did I follow the appropriate formulas for this item? Is there something I missed?

For custom items, it's often worthwhile to look at the calculation several different ways.
You are apparently not using the "flash of insight" function of Visualization of the mind, rather trying to create an item that gives a +5 to all checks based on intelligence, right.
A skill bonus is valued at (Bonus^2) *100.
I count 14 int based skills in the table here: https://www.d20pfsrd.com/skills/
14 * 25 * 100 = 35000.
Another way to consider it would be as an item with 1 charge/day, as the spell lasts 24 hrs. This would imply a 1/5 multiplier on the cost...
1/day viz of the min = 1/5(2*3*1000 + 200 *100) = 36000/5 = 7200
Another comparison though, is a straight +5 to ability X = 25000 gp... And this effect is less valuable than a straight +5 to int (doesn't give you the bonus to skill points/level and save DC's, although it does affect concentration checks for an INT based caster), and thus, should cost less...
Lots of ways to look at it s where you start hitting the GM's art of making custom items.
I'd probably end up around 8000, if I was the GM.

First rule of crafting: look for something similar. If you can't, then try formulas.
A Circlet of Persuasion is 4,500 gp for a +3 to all Cha skills. I create a formula like so: N*N*500. At +3, that is 3*3*500=4,500. At +5 it is 5*5*500=12,500 gp. This makes it easy for scaling. This does not get the immediate action effect.
As you will only use one skill at a time, you could count it as 100% first + 75% second + 50% rest. For +3 skill on 7 chr skills that is 3,825 gp. Since it is priced at 4,500 gp, that is a multiplier of 1.176, so would put 17 int skills at 8,206 gp. For +5 on int, that is 22,795 gp. This fails when you try counting all Craft(X) as a single skill.
As the created formula is much easier to deal with, I would favor it.
To add a 1/day Visualization of The Mind effect, add:
(2*3*2000+50*200)/5=4,400 gp.
With the created formula with a 1/day VoM effect, total is 12,500+4,400=16,900 gp. GM rounding to 17K.
Also note that VoM is a +5 Untyped bonus, but the CoP is a +3 Competence bonus. That is a significant difference.
Another item is the Magenta Prism(Cracked) Ioun Stone at 800 gp gives a selectable +2 Competence bonus chosen 1/day.
If you need a bonus in various skills, then the Four-leaf Clover for 3,750 gp that gives you a +2 luck bonus on any check (or save) 3/day.

Do you feel a total cost of 26k is too cheap for this effect? My personal uses was going to be Intelegence.
Depends on the game and the character, really.
There are ioun stones for +5 (competence) to a knowledge skill for 5k. If I were playing a wizard or arcanist at a high enough level, I'd be looking to buy like, five, at which point the 26K for a typeless bonus to those, and other knowledges, and crafts, and spellcraft, and other stuff too would seem... pretty nice, actually. Granted, that's comparing slotless items to a slotted one, but I think it's still attractive at that sort of price.
