Ways for a cleric of Gozreh to be able to rank up Fly

To rank up Fly skill, one needs to have either innate ability to flide or glide, or at least have a reliable means of flying everyday. However clerics don't get spell fly unless they get it from their domain, and Gozreh suprisingly doesn't grass acces to any of the domains that give fly spell.

What are other means for a human cleric (no multiclassing) to get reliable means of flying as soon as possible?

Air step uses the fly skill and might be enough to start learning it. If that doesn't work in your game then air walk probably won't either, and you'll need either a non-consumable magic item (e.g. an eagle cape) or to wait until you can cast angelic aspect.

Edit: the air domain (which Gozreh grants) gives the gaseous form spell. Gaseous forms fly.

An ally willing to cast fly on you? Eventually (5th or 7th level spell) you can get beast shape or elemental body from a domain, but that is a bit late.

Grippli. Take the alternate racial trait Glider at level 1. You can now glide and thus "fall with style" which some Tiny sized sentient Constructs say is the equivalent of flight.

Another way to do it would be:

1. Level 3/Craft Wondrous Item Feat
2. Save up 8,000 GP
3. Craft Winged Boots - base DC 15 item creation skill check, 8 days construction time, requires the Fly spell

Now I'm guessing that to get 8k GP you'll need to be about level 5; an arcane caster or other class with Fly as part of its potential repertoire may have access to that spell at this point. Cooperation while crafting a magic item is a thing. Otherwise hiring an NPC spellcaster to lob this into your boots every day for 8 days is another 720 GP - expensive but maybe not a deal breaker.

Other races to start as would be Strix, Gathlain, Wyvaran, Syrinx, or even a kobold using a gliding wings alternate race trait similar to the grippli.

You could be a Separatist cleric of Gozreh and take the Feather subdomain as well. Perhaps your own faith lies outside the orthodoxy, rooted in druidic traditions?

Yeah, I know that some races (grippli, tengu, strix, gathlain etc.) have access to flight or gliding, but I've specified I'm looking for options for a human.

As for magic items, I've found an option that is cheaper than all of those already mentioned: Featherscale Cloak. It costs only 4000 gp and among other things allows to transform into a bird to get flight speed.

Silly that Gozreh clerics can't fly with magic while those of Erastil can. Gozreh got a poor choice of domains. Erastil (and some other) clerics get Animal (Feather) subdomain, which is terrific for flight. The best subdomain Gozreh gets is the excellent Plant (Growth) , which just doesn't help with Flight.

A Gozreh Cleric can fly via the Animal domain. Choose a Roc or any other flying beast for your pet. Combine with Boon Companion feat and your Gozreh cleric is flying well at 7th level. From levels 4 - 6 your Gozreh cleric can ride an excellent Axe Beak, for huge melee power, until your Roc comes online at 7th level. Alternately, a Small PC , or a Medium PC with the Undersized mount feat, can be flying at 1st level.

Surprised it has not been mentioned, but get a headband or similar of int with fly as the skill. Poof you have full ranks in fly and it improves as you level.

not sure if it would work - but but could you use the spell Borrow Skill to temporarily get skill ranks from a "pet" bird?

Air Step/Air Walk does not make you fly, so you can't use them to gain ranks.

If you can snag Alter Self, you can change your shap to a flying one.

The Ring of Seven Lovely Colors is the cheapest magic Item I know that grants flying. [Seven times a day for 10 minutes vs. once per day for 4 minutes with the Featherscale Cloak mentioned above.]

Alter Self actually doesn’t give flight... it lists what it does...

you can assume the form of any Small or Medium creature of the humanoid type. If the form you assume has any of the following abilities, you gain the listed ability: darkvision 60 feet, low-light vision, scent, and swim 30 feet.

In order to get Flight you would need something like Beast Shape which gives: ...the following abilities, you gain the listed ability: climb 30 feet, fly 30 feet (average maneuverability), swim 30 feet, darkvision 60 feet, low-light vision, and scent.
