I'm probably just not looking, but where can I find an index of diseases and other afflictions?

That is, not having to know I must look under Giant Rat to find Filth Fever, and so on.

Thx

There is no such list at this time. I'm hoping we can get one into Gamemastery Guide, but the more folks who ask for them, the better.

That sounds great, I'd love that sort of resource.

Dark Archive

+1 on the list of diseases for the Gamemastery Guide

Would love to see a bunch of new diseases, curses, insanity, etc. And also encounter building or room design ideas. Basically problems and dangers aside from monsters. I can't speak for everyone but I need goodies for the table, not generic tabletop advice. That's why I love my 5e Monster Manual but barely read the DMG.

Oh, please, yes!

I'd love to be able to look at the diseases as a whole, not just as things buried in a bestiary listing.

A list of diseases and other Afflictions would be very nice.

But if it were printed in the GMG, it would become obsolete as soon as the next Bestiary or splatbook came out.

Adding an "Afflictions" category on Archives of Nethys would be a lot more practical.

This is the best solution imo.

Although I feel that if GMG has a list is also good and sets up a base for Nethys to simply add on to the list as books get released.

My preference: a list of diseases and afflictions in the Gamemastery Guide should include a wide range of options like bubonic plague, typhus, leprosy, stinging nettle rash, mudgut, chalktooth, the red rips, and stranglebreath as standard diseases being a mix of real-world and fantasy ones...

...but those caused by specific monsters should remain isolated in the monster entry, and should NOT be reprinted here. So the Gamemastery list becomes a baseline of diseases, not a master index.

The master index of afflictions probably SHOULD live online somewhere, but no such master list can work in print unless you know it's the last book you'll do, obviously.

RPG Superstar 2012 Top 32

I definitely would like afflictions in the Gamemastery Guide. Diseases, poisons, all of that are just useful to have on hand as a GM!

Personally I was hoping the fans had prepared such a list already :)

They have! See here: http://pf2.d20pfsrd.com/rules/afflictions-poisons-diseases/

Hopefully AoN follows suit soon.

I would really like to have a reasonably good list of real-world diseases to work with, as well as fantastic and monster-specific diseases.

Thank you!

Possibly stupid follow-up question:

From where does the disease level come from? (3 in the case of Ghoul Fever)

One other thing:

I see Ghoul Fever listed at pf2.d20pfsrd but not Ghast Fever.

Could it be that the diseases have been switched up level-wise?
