Effective level for multiclass feats that specify multiclass' level

Rules Discussion

Howdy dowdy.

So taking a more precise example from a thread a week or two ago.
Rogue's Poison Weapon. (because its the easiest example, but there are other abiltiies that specifcy class levels)

"Special During your daily preparations, you can prepare a number of simple injury poisons equal to your rogue level. These poisons deal 1d4 poison damage. Only you can apply these poisons properly, and they expire the next time you prepare."

So this specifies rogue level, not your level.
As near as I can tell in the Archetype/multiclass rules, it never specifies that you gain an effective level in the other class (with except to Alchemist I thinnk).
So basically you havea rogue lv of 0. So you do not gain any of these free poisons if you multiclass into Rogue and take this feat?

Is that intended? and do I understand the situation correct? That you'll never g ain benefits of feats that specify the actual class as opposed to 'your' phrasing? Is this just a measure to protect specific class "effects" or something? but it does make the feat less appealing. (Because I could get the free poisons as an alchemist and morning apply them to my shuriken for damage boost to their low damage)

I know there is a line somewhere in the book about "your level " meaning "your class level" and various other things like that. I'm sort of hoping I missed something--as nethy's rule reading is difficult.

Actually, while PF1 CRB did have that line, PF2 CRB does not even contain the phrase "class level" (according to my PDF reader). And it never defines "rogue level," nor "character level" for that matter. If they intended for any of those to have meanings other than "your level," they messed up.

Neat PDF power. I need to get one when i get a paycheck.... at somepoint I hope .

I wonder if it was just an accident, or intended for rogues only. I hope not..
that is a great side bonus and woudl be the main reason to take it for me (well both together as opposed to one effect only).

Though that is something about rogues I noticed.

Like how their sneak attack dice feat is a separate thing.. and doesn't count as the feat. It would've made more sense f or that to be the entry effect (instead of a feat+ surprise). Or for it to count as the lv 1 or 2 feat prereq for later feats.

So a lot of it feels disjointed.. so maybe its just normal
