Cross-class metamagic feats

Can a metamagic feat from one class, with a class-tag, be used by spells from another class' spellslots.

Example: A Cleric with the Sorcerer Dedication Archetype gets the sorcerer Widen Spell feat. Can he use it to meta his cleric spells?

Yes. The metamagic feats only require your next action to be casting a spell. They don't specify being class specific.
