I’m about to introduce my 14-year old daughter to TRPG (she’s a great fan of the Pathfinder card game, by the way) and I would like to use the adventure found in the Beginner’s Box (the one with Black Fang the Black Dragon).
So I was wondering if anyone converted it to the 2E rules…
And to answer any “Why don’t you use the rules in the Beginner’s Box?” questions, I’ll simply say that my daughter would really-really-REALLY love to play a Druid and I want to give the 2E rules a chance! ;)

I might give it a try, but probably won't have time to this week.
I know one issue I can come up with quickly is that it involves a Bane weapon, and I'm not sure that such an equivalent rune exist in second edition.
Honestly, I've wanted to look at it and the Beginner Bash adventures to look to see how many of them might convert.
Out of curiosity, are you going to have your daughter play as a solo, because that would seem to be pretty difficult to do the Black Fang as a solo, or do you have three other players interested in playing as well.
I ask because if you are planning on only playing with one or two characters, in addition to converting the difficulty as designed, the conversion would need a way to scale to having less than the typical 4 characters. My suggestion would be to make sure you have at least 3 characters, although one could be an NPC. If you were playing just the two of you, I'd suggest her make two characters, and you potentially play an NPC that would play a support role.
I confess, solo adventures are much more likely to become really bad situations as they come anywhere close to equal challenges.
My daughter wants to play second edition, and wanted to get the sword they found in the dungeon. She and her brother, along with the NPC (Kyra) came within 3hp from taking out the big bad in the adventure. In the end, I ruled they chopped off the end of its tail with her last critical on it, before it flew of and fled.

I wouldn't want the PF1e beginner box to be converted tbh, its adventure is kinda... near non existent and the simplification isn't necessarily needed in PF2e imo.
Going the 5e route with a bigger adventure, some premades and direction to the CRB/SRD for people who want to make their own character is how I would go forward.

Actually, I have 3 players: my daughter, my girlfriend (who just seems to have her head boiling with all the rules [hehe]) and my daughter's godmother, who's a close friend of mine and have played TRPG a lot over the years. She'll be like their mentor in roleplaying, and that will ease my task of DMing since I won't have to explain every single rule for them! :)

I read the Beginner's Box's adventure and while I have to admit it's a bit straightforward and almost a bit boring, I think it's a great story to introduce TRPG to new players.
As for the rules, I won't be using the rules from the Box (anyways, since my daughter want to play a Druid so desperately, I have to fall back to the complete rules, whether they're 1E or 2E).
I could "convert" the adventure on the fly, using what I read from 2E, but I was a bit wishing someone did the conversion part already (after a hiatus of 20 years in DMing, I do feel a bit lazy… ;).

Well, I will admit a bunch of it appears to be very easy, just using some obvious equivalents in the bestiary. I think I have all the monsters worked out, most simply finding the appropriate equivalent from the new edition.
One semi-custom monster, I found a match in the bestiary that I felt was close enough, but specified some spell slots were swapped out in order to be more consistent with the first storyline.
The 'big bad' was more complicated. I have something that probably will work, by using one similar, but more level appropriate as a starting base, and swapping in some of the abilities that are more true to the creature, and pruning its power back slightly, like the original adventure did from its own rule-set.
I would say my biggest hurdle is to find out what the most appropriate replacement for Bane enchantments would be in 2nd edition.
I'll also have to finish getting an inventory of the DCs or things in the adventure, so that I can try to find the appropriate value for them in Second Edition, I have only spit-balled a couple of them so far.
I'll have to take another look over the treasure and figure out what more appropriate values for the treasure would be. I think that the beginner box adventures were somewhat item-rich however, as I've gone looking though it again. I didn't realize at first exactly how much one of the items was, and what it actually was.
