Feels like a weirdly iconic feature to be missing, unless I’m blind. The Champion gets some consistent damage stuff, but never anything that really looks like a Smite to me.

Have a Smite Evil at lvl 6 for blade ally that is basically f*** that enemy in particular.
Divine Smite that is a lvl 9 feature that makes enemies take persistent good damage when hit by your reaction.
And Blade of Justice at lvl 12 that not only gives extra damage dice but activate the persistent damage of Divine Smite.
