Yup. Bear in mind that you can't cast while raging, and that the "Moment of Clarity" rage power uses your swift action for the round (so no Moment of Clarity plus swift Ferver-casting).
Having said that, it'll add some utility and probably some nice flavour to your character, so I don't see why not. avr is probably right that 2 levels is better than 1.

Just my thoughts - Rather than dip, maybe talk to your GM about getting a magic item that duplicates the spell, like a mask or a set of beard ornaments, or something. Or buy a wand if someone in the group can use it to cast on you. The spells not going to break the game as a magic item, and multi-classing to get access to one 1st level spell seems excessive.

Perhaps go with oracle instead and advanced into Rage profet later?
That really depends on his charisma score. Otherwise prestiging into rage prophet is really useless. My current RP has a base charisma of 18 and base Con of 16, that will make a good Rage Prophet, since at RP lvl 7, both Con and Cha are used for calculating DC's. If your Cha is lame, than you can't get the nice spells (e.g. major curse, slay living) to use the Cha+Con DC's.

Well to be fair he can get two 1st level spells per day with a wisdom score of 12 (not an unreasonable assumption), and he'll also get 3 unlimited-use Orisons per day as well. As a Warpriest he "gets access" to every 1st level spell on the Cleric spell list, so with a little preperation he gets a lot of options. If he dips 2 levels in warpriest he gets an extra Orison and an extra 1st level spell per day as well.
I think the reason he's considering this dip at all though is because his character is already more than powerful enough in a fight, and he's looking for some way to augment his capabilities outside of combat. With a little spellcasting and some religious flavour he can add a lot to his character that many wouldn't have seen on a barbarian.
