"Elf trait" for making a half-elf?

I'm trying to make a half-elf and it says "you gain the elf trait."

What is the "elf trait"?

Would it be easier if it says the Elf tag?

anyway you can find this answer at the beginning of ancestries teaching you how to read the entries:

Traits
These descriptors have no mechanical benefit, but they’re
important for determining how certain spells, effects, and
other aspects of the game interact with your character.

The elf trait is the trait that says you're an elf. It just means the same thing it did in PF1, you're an elf for the purposes of anything that has special rules for elves. I don't think there's anything like that in the CRB but you can be sure they'll be added in future publications.
