I am unclear how to apply the following sentence from the Treat Wounds skill action:
If you succeed at your check, you can continue treating the target to grant additional healing. If you treat them for a total of 1 hour, double the Hit Points they regain from Treat Wounds.
Does this mean after 6 successful Treat Wounds checks (10 minutes each = 1 total hour of treatment), additional Treat Wounds checks are twice as effective at restoring HP?
For some reason, this sentence isn't clear to me. Thanks to anyone who can help clarify the intent of this rule.

No it means after 10 minutes when you succeed the check you can A. Heal the listed amount or B. Spend another 50 min and heal double.
If you have plenty of time go with option A it's less healing/minute but less chance of a nat 1 preventing further healing.
Many thanks for the explanation!

The sentence would be clearer if it was:
"If you succeed at your check, you can decide to continue treating the target for an additional hour to double the Hit Points they regain from Treat Wounds."
As it is written I am also confused since it can be read (implied from the IF wording)...
"grant additional healing. If you treat them for a total of 1 hour"
...That they could treat the target less for than one hour to gain some sort of benefit.

I completely agree, one of my players read this as they can continue medicine checks until they stop succeeding, then the immunity for an hour starts and as they are into TTRPGs longer than me i went along with it, by seperating the 2 sentences, of carrying on treating wounds, full stop, treat for an hour to double healing, it makes it seem like they are seperate.
I read the rules again and realised they were reading it as they wanted to.

Bit of a necro there but yeah.
We have since the time of OPs post gotten clarifications on the Treat Wounds and its immunity that I believe is visible in Errata over on the FAQ.
Immunity starts the moment someone commits to the activity but this immunity only stops the target from benefitting of new instances of Treat Wounds. It also applies regardless of outcome on the roll or fully completing the activity, in case of it being Disrupted.
Upon completing the 10 minutes of treatment and succeeding the check the target will heal the rolled amount, you can continue the activity which essentially heals the target the same amount again after an hour.
Being interupted after the 10 minutes does not mean the target recieves no healing. But it also recieves no additional benefit from the extra time spent.
