Pregens of Plaguestone (Idea Request)

Advice

I've decided I'm going to run Fall of Plaguestone with pregen characters as a way to introduce my group to second edition.

People who are more familiar with the final rules than me (especially those who have the books and especially those who have FoP), what are some good off-the-wall pregen ideas to introduce experienced Pathfinder players to the new rules? I'm hoping to build pregens that individually touch as many different new rules components as possible while still being fun to play.

On a related note, what classes seem most appropriate for Fall of Plaguestone? Are there any classes that seem "expected" by the adventure?

Started doing something similar last night for Hell Knight Hill.

Finding that just making a character will touch on the new rules out of the box.

Going to make a pre gen lvl 1 for each class and let my players select the one they want to use. Did Bard and started Alchemist.

My players will be fresh to the genre so all of the rules will be new for them, but following this in case anyone throws out some neat ideas.

Also finding that pre genning for players familiar with 1st edition, while time saving, will rob them of some of the understanding of how and why the new rules exist. If any of my players were familiar with 1st edition I'd probably step them through making a new or updating their existing to the new character rules so they could understand better why some things have changed.

I assume the iconics will be made as pregens for PFS...

well alchemists and rangers certainly get some good rewards out of it, and alchemists fit thematically also

Not sure what you'd consider "off-the-wall" but here are some ideas I am considering for a level 1 oneshot. Some of the weirder ideas require level 2 for multiclasses, so they aren't in here.

Half-orc fighter who dual-wields orcish necksplitters (battleaxe + forceful)
Heavy crossbow sniper ranger
Half-elven dex monk
Dwarf str monk (Mountain Stance)
Elemental blaster sorcerer (probably human for armor)
Paladin of Shelyn with a glaive
Goblin warpriest of Sarenrae
Gnome wizard with familiar thesis
