Hello!

I'm relatively new to ordering from Paizo and I tried sifting through the July Release thread sticky to answer my question but I couldn't make sense of it. So apologies for a possible duplicate question.

How long is the expected wait for an order to be authorized and the product sent out from the warehouse? I'm trying to figure out if my order will be sent out before or after the August 1st release date.

They run a program that generates "authorization" emails each month. From this, subscribers get an email telling them what will be shipped, but not when. Once they start shipping, you'll get a "shipment" email telling you that the warehouse house your order and that it will be shipped "soon". Each month's New Releases and Subscriptions announcement (in the CS forum) lists the expected date to run the authorization program (which usually takes a day or two, maybe longer if it crashes a few times, as it did this month) and the expected date to start shipping. There's no guarantee of the order in which shipments will be made. One month you might be first on the list, the next month last. The announcement also tells you when they expect to finish shipping and when the street date (when the stuff should be appearing in your FLGS) is. This month, the relevant dates are:

•Authorization (Order Spawning) Date: Wednesday, July 3rd
•Begin Shipping Estimate: Monday, July 8th
•End Shipping Estimate: Thursday, August 2nd
•Street Date for Paizo Products: Thursday, August 1st

The authorization run has been completed, so if you have subscriptions and haven't see an authorization email, contact customer service. Shipping actually started Tuesday, I think, or maybe Wednesday.

Some of us may not get our stuff until after "street date" (and after GenCon). Dem's da breaks. :-)

If your order has no subscriptions on it, IME usually you get an authorization email, and then a shipping email, and that usually happens pretty quickly. Unless your stuff is going to be held for an upcoming subs shipment, which is an option you have.

tl;dr: If you are waiting on subs, and haven't seen an authorization email, contact CS. If your order has nothing to do with subs, and you haven't seen an auth. email, contact CS. If you're waiting on a shipping email, well, "waiting is..." as the Martian said. :-)

Ed is correct. Our shipping window opened last week and we expect to have all the orders out the door on or before August 2. Your order can ship out anywhere in this window. We don't charge for anything until it ships so you won't see a charge until your order is scanned out.
