A while back I ran some low level season 5 scenarios for my players as something a bit different
A seemingly unfortunate parallel is that almost all the NPCs in those seemed to hate / massively distrust the society as a bunch of interfering busy bodies / thieves etc . Or just the circumstances meant they had to keep their positions quiet. So they couldn’t outwardly announce their affiliation
It has become a bit of a running joke now e.g if the group in our AP game get a negative reaction they say “yikes, you would think we had just told them we were members of the Pathfinder Society!”
Which scenarios (if any) are there where the society is extremely positively received and open affiliation is a good thing? I’d like to know if I could throw something at my group that would shock them...

I just saw this post today.
I know there are a few scenarios out there where the Society is welcomed with open arms, and also a few where the Society is treated with cordial if neutral respect versus the Greater Organization of Deadly Vagrants from Absalom.
At the moment I'm drawing a blank, but that's because I'm still recovering from dental work.

"are you a dentist?"
"No, but I stayed at a Druma Platinum last night."
A few of the Mwangi, a couple of the ones set in Magnimar, at least one or two set in LastWall/Kaer Maga... Maybe even some of the Tien Xia stuff, too?

The lack of responses is telling, no?
I actually replied to the poster directly, in a PM, rather than trying to come up with some way to spoiler scenario names without posting specific scenario names.
in general though,
There are a number of others, mostly older scenarios, where the Pathfinder Society and Pathfinders have OK to good "press" - most of Seasons 0 and 1 in fact.
But a lot of the "feel" can be reflected in how the Judge runs the reactions of the common folk to the PCs - how does the guy on the street react when he realizes your PC is a Pathfinder? Does he ask for your autograph? or run for the bomb-shelter? Report you to the local authorities, or cut you a deal?

I can recall a recent scenario where it is implied during the VC Briefing that the PCs will be concealing who they are - and, unknown to the players, the local authorities really LIKE the society.
the Venture Captain Briefing leaves the players with the impression that they should conceal the fact that they are Pathfinders, (going so far as to suggest they claim to be merchants/smugglers/someone else) yet the local Governor actually likes the Pathfinder Society, and initially sees the PCs (if they announce who they work for) as being a GOOD THING.
