Changing Slam attacks damage type

I have a npc Spiritualist whose Phantom is a long dead swordsman.
I'd like to change the phantoms slam damage to slashing to reflect it's focus in life but I don't know if there's a way within the rules to do so.

I can of course just change it as GM, but I'd prefer to use whats already available if possible.

There's Weapon Versatility but I'm not sure if it applies to natural attacks.

Oh that works! Mechanically it only needs Weapon Focus, which you can take with slam attacks.

Although 'shift your grip' seems funny to do when it's your own fist heh.

Mind you you can technically do slashing damage with a club using this feat just by 'shifting your grip' so it's not that much of a stretch.
