AM and AMY

Advice

What do these abbreviations stand for please?

What context did you come across them in? Don't ring a bell to me.

amy can some times mean amulet and the only time I see AM is when its in the context of AM barbarian.

Haha I thought this was going to be about AM BARBARIAN and the female version: AMY BARBARIAN.

Also i second Java Man: I have no idea what they mean without context.

AM stands for Anti-Magic.
Amy is a name.

It is in reference to the AM barbarian and AMY alchemist builds I've seen posted.

I apologize for the lack of context.

The AM in AM BARBARIAN either stood for Anti-Magic or was just the way a highly optimized Intelligence-dumping PC spoke. "ME AM BARBARIAN. ME AM RAGELANCEPOUNCE WHILE FLYING ON BACK OF BIG BATTY BAT. AM ALWAYS KILLING CASTIES BEFORE THEY CAST MAGIC."

AMY was another character intended to do ridiculous melee damage, the name a reference to AM BARBARIAN.

Thank you, it was driving me crazy trying to figure them out as anagrams.

AM is an anagram of Ma.

AMY is an anagram of May or Yam...

...you meant acronyms, didn't you?

You got me

Perhaps it refers to "Anit-Magic Yak". The proud mount for a ragelancepounce barbarian.

Liberty's Edge

I believe Amy was the name for the beast morph vivisectionist who was a high DPS build.
