Material Plane influences / Ethereal

Certain magic spells cast on the material plane block access on the ethereal plane, what should those effects look like on the ethereal plane ? such as a Forbiddance spell or a force effect

Planar Refuge requires a "solid body of matter", would any of these cross-planar effects be valid targets to be able to use this spell on the Ethereal plane ?

Also for areas such as the Worldwound or other heavily planar corrupted areas, would you have it influence other transitive planes like the ethereal ?

I would think barriers made of Force or ectoplasm would appear identical to the way they do on the Material Plane since they affect both simultaneously.
I wouldn't count a spell effect as a solid body of matter for the purposes of Planar Refuge. One of the Create Demiplane spells would be a much better choice if you want a safe spot on the Ethereal Plane.

I think the spell would need to be permanent to fulfill the solid body requirement of planar refuge. To my mind a wall of force is not matter but magical energy and therefore wouldn't work. The intention of spell is similar to the requirement for summoning a creature (need a solid surface), making it difficult to use on many planes.
