Rogues get sneak attack, Stalker Vigilantes get Precision attack. Except for the damage it is essentially the same thing. Now Arcane Trickster's requirements is a Sneak Attack of 2d6.
My question is would a Stalker Vigilante qualify for Arcane Trickster with his Precision Strike if the damage is high enough. The strike is essentially the same as Sneak attack except for damage and the name of it.

That is a solid no.
It's not named Sneak Attack, it doesn't include any phrasing to the effect that it should function in place of SA for other pre-reqs.
That being said, you CAN stack Precision Attacks and Sneak Attacks together so a single level dip into a class or archetype that grants SA would work out great esp with Improved Sneak Attack Feat to get that 2d6 requirement.

by RAW Hidden Strike =/= Sneak Attack. They are completely different abilities. This is reinforced by the way the rogue talent Stalker is worded. It lets you take a vigliante talent but you are explicitly forbidden from applying talents that affect hidden strike to your sneak attacks. Instead you gain a hidden strike ability that fails to stack with your sneak attack.
They tried to make vigilante unique by giving it an ability that's like sneak attack, but isn't. The net result is that vigilantes are stuck in their own kiddie pool and aren't allowed access to anything that only references sneak attack.
The feat Shadows of Fear not only demonstrates how silly this is as they are clearly equivalent abilities, while also demonstrating that they are in fact different.
I would talk to your DM to see if they will allow it.
