I just got a confirmation email about the above order. I noticed that the S&H is over 40$!!
That’s quite a lot, even considering that there are 4 items. Usuallly it’s about 20$. What changed this time?

I took a look at the order, and this does not seem to be an error. While I do not understand all of the shipping limitations, I do know that the pawns can be different than other products because they do not count as "Bound Printed Matter" AKA books, to receive a kinder shipping rate that often keeps our international shipping rates lower.
You have mostly used Standard Postal in the past, which is generally the cheapest option, but this option is not offered for the particular combination of items you have, making the cheapest shipping option available to you Mail Innovations International.
It is likely the pawns that are throwing the shipping options and prices that you are used to seeing off. Removing them from the order drops your shipping price back to Standard Postal Delivery for about $10 for the two books.
