You were taught a style of martial arts that relies on the natural weapons from your racial ability or class feature.
Prerequisite: Improved Unarmed Strike, Weapon Focus with selected natural weapon.
Benefit: Choose one of your natural weapons. While using the selected natural weapon, you can apply the effects of feats that have Improved Unarmed Strike as a prerequisite.
Special: If you are a monk, you can use the selected natural weapon with your flurry of blows class feature.
A brawler’s unarmed strike is treated as both a manufactured weapon and a natural weapon for the purpose of spells and effects that modify either manufactured weapons or natural weapons.

As a Brawler, I could take Feral Combat Training (Unarmed Strike), correct?
I'm unsure if my Unarmed Strike counts as a Natural Weapon for the feat prerequisite.

Looks right, but ... Why?
EDIT: I remember there being discussions on whether Unarmed Strike is a valid option for Weapon Focus. Personally I don't have a problem with it but I don't remember what the rules-lawyers decided. If you can't take "Weapon Focus: Unarmed Strike" then you wouldn't have the prerequisites to take it for Feral Combat Training.

The weapon focus feat specificly says you can take it for unarmed strikes, RAW from CRB.
So it does, what am I thinking of? (oh I think it was a discussion about gauntlets and WF maybe ... doesn't matter for this conversation I guess)
Regardless, what's the point of taking Feral Combat Training for Unarmed Strikes?

Ditto!
The purpose of FCT is to apply feats that have IUS as a prerequisite to your Natural Attacks, but surely you can apply your Unarmed Strike Feats to your Unarmed Strikes already!
The other thing you can do is use your Natural Weapon for Flurry of Blows, but you are already taking Brawler, and you have Brawler's Flurry then, don't you? If you don't, then I don't think FCT will give it to you.
What wicked scheme are you brooding over, Wonderstell?

Actually there are some IUS feats that for some reason can't be used with Unarmed Strikes. I'm mainly speaking of Perfect Strike, which has an incredible FAQ explaining why IUS is a prerequisite even though it can't be used with Unarmed Strikes. So I'd need Feral Combat Training to be able to use Perfect Strike with Unarmed Strikes.

Well, if you take Martial Versatility you basically get the poor man's Ascetic Style, as Unarmed Strike is part of the Close, Monk, and Tribal weapon groups.
The reason why I'm willing to jump through hoops on this issue is because the above feat line would be completely PFS legal, while Ascetic Style is not.

Well, I hope you favor us with your build. I have found a use or 2 for Martial Versatility as well.

Well there you go. Looks like it's legal, and you've found a reason to do it. Let us know how it goes =)
It worked perfectly!
I combined Crashing Wave Fist with the ability to make Urumi attacks instead of Unarmed Strikes, then with Bit of Luck I finally managed to reach infinite damage.
