I cannot figure out how Inspire Courage, Lingering Composition, and Inspire Heroics are supposed to work together.

I cannot figure out how inspire courage, lingering composition, and inspire heroics are supposed to work together. Is a bard supposed to be able to use these together all at once? I sincerely cannot discern this, because the rules for compositions are laid out so ambiguously.

They do not work together. Per RAW you can only trigger one free action from an event so you have to pick between lingering or inspire heroics and it is not possible at this time to stack them. This issue has been identified to Paizo, but I am not sure it is on their radar with a lot of the bigger issues that remain to be resolved.

To be true, they have different triggers, so someone could use both. The RAW is a little messy now...

The trigger for inspire heroics:

Trigger You finish casting inspire courage.

The trigger for Lingering Composition

You finish casting a cantrip composition with a duration of 1 round.

So, casting Inspire Courage creates 2 different triggers

Free Actions
Free actions follow the same trigger rules as reactions, and like reactions, you can use them on your turn or on another character’s turn.

Unlike with actions or reactions, you can use as many free actions per round as you like, as long as their triggers occur. However, a specific trigger can trigger only one of a character’s free actions

The problem is trying to use Harmonize and Lingering Composition!

Harmonize trigger:

Trigger You finish casting a composition.

But by your reading thats still two different triggers for lingering and harmonize. One pulls from the fact that's it's a cantrip composition but the other triggers off a composition obviously two different things. /s

So you start inspire courage a cantrip composition that lasts 1 round.
Nothing happens

You finish casting inspire courage
You have now finished casting a cantrip composition that lasts 1 round called inspire courage.

That's still only 1 specific trigger.

As I said, RAW is kind of messy right now... You could interpratete both ways!
