Hindered - what conditions are hindered?

Rules Questions

I can't tell which conditions cause a foe to be considered hindered.
Is there a list? I wouldn't guess all conditions are considered hindered.

I'm going to be grouping with some multiclass character that will all be Rogues eventually. At least one of them will be taking the Weapon Focus/Dazzling Display/Shatter Defense feat chain to make a foe flat-footed so the rest of them can all sneak-attack.

What is the easiest way for a 1st level Fighter, Wizard, Rogue or Monk to hinder a foe?

Thanks,
Mal

The shatter defenses feat spells out what it means: shaken, frightened or panicked.

Going further : where does that "hindered" wording come from ?
Because that's not a game term that actually exists - as far as I know - so context would help.
It's not in Shatter Defenses, nor is it in the Sneak Attack description.

Is the question how to set up sneak attacks ?
Answer would be : anything that denies Dex to AC, and flanking. Which is probably the easiest at low level, if risky.
A few spells might help, but not too many that early on.

The context is in the shattered defenses feat.

Shatter Defenses doesn't contain the word "hindered". Where is that particular word used such that it is causing this question to come up?

The flavor blurb on the feat chart for shatter defenses refers to hindered enemies.

People look at the chart?

Yes.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

On purpose?

I got these from d20pfsrd.com

Medusa’s Wrath* Gorgon’s Fist, base attack bonus +11 Make 2 extra attacks against a hindered foe

Shatter Defenses* Dazzling Display, base attack bonus +6 Hindered foes are flat-footed

So I guess the real descriptions of these feats does not include 'hindered'?

Mal

Correct, the full descriptions give specifics, those short blurbs are flavor summaries.

Exactly. It's just a brief summary of flavour text.

Flavour is good to sum up, get the specifics from the rules.
