necklace of fireballs

Shouldn’t the necklace of fireballs have the consumable trait?

Here's a better question:

Does it cost resonance to throw a sphere? How much?
(See: Bag of Holding Errata rational)

Even better question:

Do you have to throw the sphere the same round you pop it off the necklace?

Necklace of Fireballs needs to be rewritten, because the text of the item is in conflict with the header.

Per the header, detaching and throwing the bead is a single two-action activity that costs 1 resonance and would have to be done in one round.

Per the text, detaching a bead and throwing a bead are two separate activation actions, each of which costs 1 resonance, and could be done in separate rounds.

AND its got the Invested trait!

4 people marked this as a favorite.

I'm of the opinion nothing should be invested unless it actually gives you a constant benefit. So if the necklace gave you fire resistance or a constant bonus to fire damage, sure, invested would be fine. But since it's just a wand by another name, it shouldn't be invested.
