"Followed" threads stop tracking # of new posts after a while?

Is this as the title, or the new cache system only lets you follow a set number of threads per account?

One thread that I even added one of my own posts stopped tracking new additional ones yesterday, and it's quite baffling.

I've been seeing this behavior also.

I think it’s always done that. My speculation was that once it drops off the “front page” of a subforum it no longer displays (x new) if it somehow jumps up the top again.

That’s just a guess though.

Pretty sure it's longer than that - at least in busy forums like the PBP ones. I can find, right now, one on page 4 of the Discussion section that I last looked at on Wednesday

Not sure what the actual timeline is. If it's happening in less than a week since you last checked, then something else is going on.
