Why Heighten Continual Flame?

Skills, Feats, Equipment & Spells

So, from what I can tell, the only "benefit" from heigtening the 2nd level spell "Continual Flame" is that it uses more ruby dust. Am I missing something? Why would someone ever heighten that spell?

So that it counts as its higher level when you get into a magical darkness vs magical light situation, where higher level wins. (This is the same reason you use Heighten Spell on continual flame in PF1, FWIW.) Oh, it also makes it harder to dispel.

That makes sense. Thanks!
