Starfinder 2e Core Rule download empty?

Just got the notification that the Starfinder Core Rules are available but the download is essentially empty. There is only a placeholder 180kb png file.

Ok, I looked at the included PNG file. It's an I.O.U. for a PDF on July 31.

So, essentially it seems that Paizo just wanted to charge my account the $85+ for the book, but not deliver the PDF at the same time.
Like they have always done in the past.

I wonder why?

They mentioned it in another thread- cause it's the launch of the big first book of a system, they want more control over how it rolls out and how they present everything when it launches at GenCon.

Posting this here too for awareness! For everyone asking about the Starfinder Second Edition Player Core PDF, we're sorry for any confusion! I have tracked down the source! This change is a one-time change due to the nature of Starfinder Second Edition launching for the first time. The Starfinder Player Core is a major system launch, and we are making sure that everyone possible has the opportunity to get their copy (physical or digital) at the same time, on the release day. This change does not affect other future releases.

Your PDFs will be added to your accounts on July 31st, the same day that Starfinder Player Core launches worldwide. Thanks for showing us how hyped you all are for the book and the new system launch!

I gotta say, it was incredibly deflating to rush home after getting the email that my book had shipped, looking forward to downloading the PDF, and then...receiving a PNG that just told me I'd wasted my time. :(

I got the email that the PDFs have been updated. I was able to download a fresh 'per chapter' zip with actual content (hooray!), but the 'single file' zip is still the PNG.

I've cleared the cache, clicked the 'trouble downloading' link, switched to a different browser, and even tried using another machine.

Even though it says it's going to be a 372 MB download, it's still the 186 kB zip file.

Looks like the skill from the subclass just got added to your number of skills, and the initial ability was cut to make room for Nimbus Surge becoming a pseudo- Reactive Strike.

As an official update on this too, we amended the PDF release because of just how passionate and excited our subscribers were to receive it like all the other releases. We're sorry for the frustration that was caused, and we hope you enjoy the book!
