Question about old campaigns & PFS

Hi, my table has played a number of Paizo AP's and modules but never with PFS characters or credit. I ran into a random thread somewhere that was talking about the legality of claiming credit for these games for legal PFS characters.

So is this true? What proof do we need and is reporting the same? Is there a link that talks about this? We have played a good number of them and I don't think they ever plan to play them again in PFS for credit.

Tonya the Organized Play Coordinator comments about Campaign Mode a bit here in 2016.
The information is in each sanctioning document for the product(AP or Module).
I'd also review the current PFSRPG Guide.
At a minimum the GM will have to read the PFS campaign rules and sign off on the documentation and everyone that wants credit will need a PFS # and character #.
It might be helpful to contact a local Venture Officer to assist you with the process.

So to continue my questions, We finished a few APs about 1-2 years back. Is it ok to still submit these? Our group is a set of consistent players and have completed 4 APs now and wouldn't mind credit for them.

Also, do we get 3 XP per book being there are 6 books per AP and we played the whole thing through? That is basically 6 levels we can apply to a character?

Can we apply all that credit to the same PFS character, but can't use the boon until level appropriate?

Sorry about the questions, I just can't find any clear info on this, I just want to do it right the first time. :)

Basically, yes, six levels to apply. They can all be applied to one character, but usually have a large level spread, which can cause problems. The only issue I can see is whether they can be back-dated.

Well we have all the records it was played on Roll20 or Fantasy Grounds, so hopefully there isn't an issue proving it was played. So yeah I guess can you report something that ended a few years back.

While technically it is not against the rules (as far as I can tell based on the recent updates to the Guide) to claim credit for historical non-PFS play, its not really in the spirit under which the rules for taking credit for APs were originally written. Many players often apply a more liberal interpretation of how and when credits are applied to a character, but the intent is that when you play a sanctioned session of PFS regardless of the adventure (scenario, module, AP) you complete the reporting sheet including recording what character is being played or which is receiving the credit in the case of a pregen, or a campaign-mode adventure. Assuming a group of players is new to organized play and recently (?) completed an adventure path, I don't think many would give you a hard time about taking delayed credit for it, but if it had been many years or if you had played numerous APs and suddenly wanted to take OP credits for them, many would consider that at least a breach of the spirit of the rules, if not the RAW and reject said chronicles.

There is also the issue of the chronicles for APs typically being very spread out. This leads to them being much more challenging to apply to characters. Remember, chronicles must be applied to a character in the order in which they are earned.

We are all new to the Society and just realized that we can take credit for the games. We all thought it was for PFS characters only but turns out we were wrong when I decided to research the Society and dragged them all into it. We start our first PFS game this Sunday actually. But yeah it would be nice to take credit for all that time and effort we had.
