Merciless Rush replaces how you push back a creature, and doesn't state anywhere about having available movement to do, or having actions to take. You simply bull rush a legal target and beat their cmd by 5 or more, and you "move through" it. This seems to be something people can go beyond the text to interpret in many ways, and want to see how others thinks this works.
Random scenario
Enlarged huge human attacks a large sized creature by extending their reach with lunge after moving max distance on a charge to just barely be in range of the creature. They replace their charge melee with the lunge bull rush and succeed, and choose to merciless rush. What happens?

Merciless Rush (Combat)Though hordes stand against you, they rarely stand long.
Prerequisite(s): Improved Bull Rush, worshiper of an evil deity.
Benefit(s): When you bull rush a creature and your check exceeds the target's CMD by 5 or more, you deal damage equal to your Strength modifier to that target.
