I'm about to enter a game of Iron Gods for the first time, and figured now would be the perfect time to try and do an expy of a character that I quite like the concept of. While the time-travelling part of the equation may or may not fit, that's honestly fine, there's more than a few plot caveats that could work to justify that, I'm quite honestly more concerned with the aesthetic and style of a quasi-cyborg psychic solider.
For stats, we're doing 25 point buy, two traits and one campaign trait, with one additional for a drawback, and we're using the third party Elephant in the Room Feat system, although only the original and basic set as we can't be bothered to read the full 40 page document lol (http://michaeliantorno.com/feat-taxes-in-pathfinder/). In addition, Variant Multi-Classing is an option, although I'd like to avoid that unless it is an extremely good fit. I care about the flavor of the concept, but want to remain as close to optimized as I can.
We're starting at level 1, and that might result in the power and concept not matching, but that's okay. With all that said, I appreciate any and all help you can give me, as I'm not sure how exactly to go about doing this myself, being relatively inexperienced. I've considered that maybe an aether element kineticist that picks up Exotic Weapon Prof (Firearms) might work if using technological guns (To avoid the misfire chance destroying my hopes and dreams), or possibly a fighter, or techslinger, but otherwise I've got very little reasoned out.
If I've missed or forgotten any key details that would be relevant to my asking for assistance, please let me know and I'll try and respond with them, apologies for any errors as well, I'm new to both the game and the forums.

I'd go for the cyborg soldier fighter archtype. It fits reasonably well. Cable's one of the X-Men I'm not as familiar with, but from what I remember, you can multiclass with telekineticist to represent his psychic ability, and how he can go beyond what he's generally capable of, including flavoring the Burn damage as the techno-organic virus taking advantage of your psychic powers not being used to keep it in check.

Well it depends on which part of Cable you want to focus on.... cause he has a lot of things going for him. But here is a couple of suggestions for some of his aspects.
Metal arm: Constructed Pugilist (Brawler)[(plus you can take the mutant template with limitations if the dm so allows]) This will give you the arm, let you enchant it/make it out of special materials. I would only take 1 lvl of this though.
Guns: Well you said it, Techslinger Gunslinger, Trenchfighter Fighter, are probably the best options for guns.
Psychic abilities: Well this is harder.... Yes either the aether kineticist or the psychic class will best get you what you need there, but both will take a long time......
So.... if it was me building Cable from lvl 1 up, i would would start as....
Lvl 1: Constructed Pugilist Brawler
Lvl 2: Techslinger Gunslinger
Lvl 3: Your choice of psychic class
That gets you started with the basics of being Cable.... the rest needs to be fleshed out from there. My opinion anyways

No Love for the Savage Technologist? with how burly Cable is, one would think him a brute or barbarian.

Well, other than him being beefy (which a good str and con score take care of) nothing about him screams barbarian. Rather the opposite, he's a tactical fighter, not a berserker. As has been mentioned that kineticist takes a while for him to get respectable telekinetic ability, that's not a bug, it's a feature. Cable has, generally, had psychic abilities, but they were stunted because of his virus.

With the exceptions of Shielding Limb and Tight Grip, the Constructed Pugilist's mechanical arm doesn't overlap well with Cable's abilities (at least in the "Deadpool 2" movie, which was baller). Cable himself is virtually indestructible, and the Repairing Nanites alternative racial trait in Android works well in explaining that beyond a barbarian's mountain of hitpoints.
