Spellstrike and Sunder?

Rules Questions

Has there ever been a definite ruling on whether or not Spellstrike can be a) used with combat maneuvers and b) if so, can you use the spell damage in a sunder attempt?

I'm putting together a big bad wordcasting magus for my campaign and today I had the chilling thought that using a force effect with a spellstriking sunder attempt would mean he could basically cut the PCs weapons to shreds...

Spellstrike is irrelevant, and will only cloud the issue for people who don't understand how it works. Using Spellstrike is just like using a natural attack or unarmed strike to deliver a touch spell.

However, the underlying question is a very good one.

Whatever the results of this thread are will apply equally to Spellstrike.

Remember that Sunder in particular can only be used with the attack action, so you will have to either cast your spell as a swift action then sunder with your standard, or wait until the next round in order to hold the charge and perform the Sunder.

Technically I don't see anything wrong with that, but it means that the weapon you're trying to sunder becomes the target of the spell, not it's wielder.

Can you target an item with the spell you're looking to deliver? If not, then no.
