One of my players had a question about the prerequisite of "Take Cover".
Requirements You are benefiting from cover or are near a feature that allows you to take cover.
Her question: How close to a feature that allows cover qualifies as "near"?
I ruled that as within range of the players speed, but I wasn't sure if that was the right call. Has this come up with anyone else? I tried searching the forums for it, but didn't find anything.

I think it means adjacent to it. The description of the Basic Action goes on:
You press yourself against a wall or duck behind an obstacle to take better advantage of cover (see Cover on page 314). If you would gain a +2 circumstance bonus to AC and Reflex saves due to cover, you instead gain a +4 circumstance bonus to AC and Reflex saves from the cover while you’re taking cover. Otherwise, you gain the normal benefits of cover.
So the first situation is clear: you must already be in a square that offers regular Cover.
The second situation ("Otherwise, [...]"), I would say, is something like being in a square next to a table, which would not normally offer any cover by itself. If you Take Cover there, I'd describe it as kicking over the table and hunkering down behind it, gaining the regular +2 to AC and Reflex saves.
But in all cases, you have to be adjacent to it when you take the action, no free Stride on top of Take Cover.
