Help with Unchained Synthesist / Ninja gestalt

Advice

About to join a PbP game with a level 2 half-elf gestalt Unchained Synthesist/Unchained Ninja (using the Everyman Gaming 3PP Ninja, built off the Unchained Rogue). Spheres of Might/Power content is in play, and weapon finesse is free; if you get finesse from some other source, it's boosted to the improved version from SoM (+half your BAB to damage on any attack with Dex to hit and Str for damage).

I'll be using an Agathion eidolon, intending to go for a weapon-using build. Looking for advice, particularly on feats and evolutions since I'm working with such a tight budget compared to the standard Summoner.

Biggest question for me right now is: Should I go quadruped to get Pounce later, or should I stick with biped?

I have other miscellaneous optimization questions, but my focus right now is getting help with the eidolon. Advice is thin on the ground for Unchained Synthesists, and doubly so for gestalt. Thank you in advance for any advice!

Biped is good for non synthesist.

Well, summoner don't multi class very well. Synthesist don't work well in DEX build... Ninja don't stack good with summoner.

I agree that Summoner in general is not good for multiclassing. However, this is gestalt (the 3e rules variant), which gives you all the best benefits of two classes. So I can have all my evolution points and spells, and also sneak attack and ninja tricks.

If you go with small size (both race & eidolon, probably) then the extra dex on a quadruped might be good. Gathlain's one small race which gets extra evolution points as a favored class bonus, goblin's another - each with restrictions though. If you want that half-elf favored class bonus you might as well go with biped/strength which also saves you having to buy arms as an evolution.
