While reading through the rules I have found that the currently order of success and failure effects are counter-intuitive. I would suggest changing the order to: Critical Failure, Failure, Success, Critical Success. That way spells would show the best possible outcome to the worst possible outcome. I think this order would improved the readability of the text.
From what I have heard, the ordering is the way it is because sometimes critical failure or critical success depends on the rules for normal failure or success and thus the latter need to be listed first.
That said, something needs to be done about the way it is presented, because I don't think anyone likes it in it's current state.
