does the damage die increase from this feature mean simple weapons or does it include all common weapons?
I would like to know this as well. Does the class feature give no benefit to common martial melee or ranged weapons?
From the way the class feature is written, I would say no. I think the intention here was to make simple weapons more competitive with martial weapons for clerics.
