Proficiency being added to AC / TAC?

I've been going though the book, and do you add your proficiency to your overall AC, since it has a bonus slot for it, but the armor class feels like if will get way to large. Am I calculating this right or no? Because every other box says being "trained" makes proficiency 0+level, so do I add my level to AC/TAC basically?

Barbarian 1st level: 10 +1(dexerity) +4(breastplate) +1(Trained in breastplate) =15

Barbarian 2nd level: 10 +1(dexerity) +4(breastplate) +2(Trained in breastplate) =16

so on and so fourth

You are right that level is added. Since attack bonuses are about the same I think there will be fewer hits for more damage in the new system (+x weapons add extra die which makes me think more damage). But overall many things are just rescaled and all the numbers we knew are just guidelines here.
