I looked at the cleric, druid, sorcerer, and wizard, each of those classes is given a feat at 20th level to gain a 10th level spell slot and a choice of spells known. In the bard class there is no corresponding feat, this just looks like an oversight but wanted to bring it up
Also, at 1st level the bard only knows two spells, 1 free choice and 1 that is decided by their muse. This is less than the other spellcasting classes, even the sorcerer. Is this an oversight or intentional?

It seems that bards are supposed to be the primary occult casters, as full progression casters, so why no 10th level spells? Are those only for sorcerers, and if that's the case are we to assume sorcerers are to be the primary strength in occult magic?
clerics have divine
druids have primal
wizards are obviously arcane
bards are occult but "forget" them
sorcerers are whatever, but get that 10th level occult spell so may as well play that if you want that particular spell set
I would like to assume that its just to balance the playtest, limiting only four classes to that spell level for now, but it seems a bit odd that if you are going to give bards full progression, placing that potentially arbitrary limit to it

Does anyone know why Bard has 1st level class feats, but doesn't get a class feat until level 2? Is there another way to get a class feat earlier?
Thats a norm for casters. Basically (with an extra complication for sorcerers) spellcaster don't get a feat when they get spellcasting training (which includes first level).
Though generally it comes back in the form of a power from a different choice (deity, order, bloodline, school, or in this case, muse)
I'm really sure why muses exist. Their mechanical effect is minimal and they make the class entry harder to understand. Flavor is good, but maybe not when it obscures mechanics.
Truthfully I'm not sure 'flavor' they're supposed to impart. A nigh infinite number of somethings that could be things or other things, or ideas or completely nebulous things, force you to pick one of three things to definitely be. Have this spell and that feat, and never speak of it again.
