Say an Ifrit with Mostly Human takes Planar Heritage (Undine), then takes Elemental Strike. By RAW, the extra damage is both Fire and Cold at the same time. How would this affect a creature with the Fire Subtype, who is immune to Fire damage, but vulnerable to Cold damage?

I would say that Mostly Human falls into the special listed in Planar Heritage as it modifies the heritage of the Ifrit. Also, you aren't fully Human as you are an Ifrit whom is only mostly human.

Not really. Ifrits, along with most if not all of the Outsider (Native) Player Races, are already human related. All their special alternate racial traits do is make it where they can now take feats that Humans can take, and be affected by spells like a Humanoid.

Furthermore, Mostly Human says they count as Outsider (Native) and Humanoid (Human) for all purposes. This means that they can take feats that require being Human.

The "special" seems to make this a no go.

Special: You cannot select Planar Heritage if you already have an ability or feat (like Racial Heritage) that adjusts your heritage in this way.

Your heritage is adjusted already.

Once again, it isn’t. Ifrits are already of Human heritage. All Mostly Human does is let them actually count as such.

Both abilities would be in effect so you'd do 150% damage that the target is immune too.

Which sounds exactly like an adjustment.

edit: but assuming it did work, and the elemental damage choice mattered, I assume we would use the damage type rules described under weapons. The wielder would chose which type applies.

It doesn't adjust your heritage narratively, but it does adjust your heritage mechanically. An ifrit without Mostly Human is biologically mostly human, but they are not treated as human for any mechanical effects.

(If the GM allows it anyway, choosing the elemental type sounds like a good idea.)
