Orator in PFS

Advice

I keep debating on going with the orator feat at lvl 1 on my occultist. I'm curious about other's experience in pfs and if it is worth it?

I have a lore warden with it. It is hard to justify via Roleplaying sometimes, and the linguistic limitations have come up. But I do enjoy being able to interact with the game in that way.

I usually just use clever word play or student of philosophy.

I don't do a lot of bluffing or intimidating outside of build dedicated to them so that's my bias.

I'm curious if the gm might require a diplomacy check if it might apply. Butt to get all those skills for a point in just linguistic

Guess not many have tried it?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

It applies to changing an attitude, but not to gathering information or making a request.

First, you have to get an NPC to indifferent. Then you have to roll get them to do a thing. Most GMs don't actually do this I have never seen diplomacy run RAW most of the PFS scenarios that describe diplomatic situations don't run them by the core rules. So YYMV.
