Given that the Pathfinders have a negative reputation for grave robbing, stealing and other actions (murderhobo), often seen with a negative light in the inner-sea region... has anyone make use of this "reputation" to intimidate NPCs during a scenario?
Like "Talk! Or you will see what Pathfinders can do to you, your home and the graves of your ancestors! When we are done, there won't even be a broken bowl left for you to beg with!"
Or do most players avoid this cos its too evil?

Never played up the society rep but my character is past rep of being a ‘bard beater’ has come into play..
In 4 out of 6 sequential scenarios over two levels, I beat up 3 PC bards and 1 NPC bard, the PC’s being due to charm person, charm monster and a well placed suggestion. Nearly killed the first bard non lethally and the third nearly killed me after I sundered his masterwork lute.
This fame came back to bite me in the Ruby Phoenix tournament when we faced off several bards who all made like a 27+ on knowl DTE local against me.
I wound up throat punching or eye gouging half of them (dirty fighter specialist)

Well - it is written into Destiny of the Sands I:
After leaving the PFS, and running away to the edge of the world (well, really far from the "City at the Center of the World" anyway), while trying to put his business back together - who shows up? You guessed it. PFS agents. And what do they want? Why, free information. Yeah, like that's going to happen. So the agents are instructed to ..."... if he wont give it to you free, remind him of XXX. He'll cough it up then."
Looks like the Society's reputation being used to Intimidate a major NPC to me...

but the way I've used it in the past- Intimidate a captive to give up information:
Captive Uthdan Warrior: "Go ahead and kill me! I do not fear death, I will have died a warrior!"
Katisha: "Honey, I'm a Pathfinder. I never kill people. Very wasteful. No, I think I'll just take you home with me, to my little country house just outside of Westgate. A couple spells and I'm sure things will work out just fine! I could use another Page Boy..., And perhaps, if you're really 'good' at it, in time you can work up to being a footman... We'll have such fun! My servants have these cute little uniforms! I'm sure I've got one in your size!"

About the closest I've seen has been a bluff that someone pulled on an Aspis agent.
Touché. It had completely fled my memory, though admittedly we were offering the carrot of Diplomacy rather than the stick of Intimidate.
Word association and focus did the rest.
So yes, there are times it can happen, under the right circumstances.
