Hi all,
I was wondering:
According to PFS rules, a character can have only an active pet, a mount or a (inactive) familiar...
...but what about stuffing a large aquatic cage with 5 sting rays into the largest bag of holding and having a mule carry it?
The water could be changed with a Decanter of Endless Water, leaving only the food issue...
...but this would be a way to milk up to 10 doses of "nice" poison (Dex & Con) from these stingrays...
Do you think would be possible?
Thanks,
Skarm
P.S.: There is some other smaller, purchaseable and maybe terrestrial animal that could be bought and carried around for this purpose?
P.P.S.: The animal wouldn't be really "active" or "passive"...would just be a portable poison making source!! XDD

Okaaayyy...
The harvesting poison subsystem is legal for play, but a PC cannot use this subsystem to preserve poisons or create antivenom; all harvested poisons lose their potency by the end of the adventure.
I don't know how those rules work, since I don't yet own that source, but I would (tentatively) say that since you are gaining a mechanical benefit from a creature, that creature would have to be your one "designated" creature for the Adventure (much like you'd be choosing either your Familiar or your Animal Companion).
Although I admit that gets kind of head-scratchy.
You can bring along a herd of goats, for example, but until now there wasn't a subsystem for milking them and gaining a useful item. They just existed in the background.
So I suppose a school of stingrays is doable. I'd probably rule you could only milk one, though.
