Hello, denizens of the forums of Paizo!
Recently, our Giantslayer game ended after concluding Book 2 of the Giantslayer Adventure Path, The Hill Giant's Pledge.
The game has been going on for just about three years, with ebb and flow in activity (the former being a bit more common recently). As such, we find outselves adrift into the green, hilly, orc-and-giant infested plains of the Hold of Belkzen, looking for a passionate (if not necessarily compassionate) GM to take the reigns.
There's four of us still interested in the game, with two of the original players still in, as well as two newer arrivals.
-------------------------------------------
What we offer:
- An already set and prepared level 6 party, with a strong bent towards handling things the dwarven way (with sticks, things attached on sticks, and sticks that project other sticks), as well as well-developed personalities, and promises of reliable RP Posts and interest in the game.
- I would also be willing to purchase the third book, Forge of the Giant God for the GM that would like to take upon the task. And the others, in the future, but we'll burn than bridge when we cross it.
-------------------------------------------
What we would like:
- I understand completely that when looking for a GM, while unable or unwilling to take upon the mantle yourself, you can't be terribly picky. However, I would like at least a reliable (not necessarily once daily, but at least several times a week) posting, as well as an interest in the story, the setting and the characters. Experience as a GM isn't necessarily required, but some experience with PbP would be.
-------------------------------------------
The far future:
- In the event that someone is willing to pick up the game, I'm assuming that we'd also need some additional players. However, for the moment, this recruitment is for a GM-only. This will change as soon as we set with our perfect partner. I'll either re-open the recruitment, or open a new thread when and if that moment comes.
-------------------------------------------
The usual suspects:
The current party members we have are listed below, by alphabetical order. As much as I was tempted to sort us by height.
- Crom Iron Cudgel - a no-nonsense axe-wielding dwarf, displaying all the qualities a good dwarf should. Hard-hitting, hard-headed, and hard-drinking.
- Yours Truly - A human orphan adopted by dwarves. Jokey, not-too-serious, and an expert shot and infiltrator. Tends to use humour for deflecting on a hard life. Has a horse named A#@@#~%.
- Wulfrum Boulderhead - An old-ish warpriest of Torag, and wielder of the artefact hammer Aggrimmosh (as well as his belly), Wulfrum serves as the moral compass of the party, keeping everyone grounded.
- Zekal Cooper A follower of Erastil, and possibly the best-smelling person in the party, Zekal is a defender of both the wilds and civilisation.
Feel free to ask questions - I will be keeping a close eye on the recruitment, and I'm very much looking forward to answering your questions.
For Trunau!

I am intersted. I am not saying it’s a definite, but beside starting an Iron God’s AP and about to play in 1 PFS scenario I’m not too busy so picking up a higher level and established group would be nice. Plus I’ve wanted to start a Giant Slayers AP. Do me a favor and send the link to your adventure so I can read over some of it. That way I’ll open it on another page and scan through some of the posts.

I had a few, all being dwarves save the arcane one.
But-
Zoren- stone Lord paladin. Lost home to giants, was trapped in tunnels as a babe and found by deep gnomes. Where he learned his deeper connection to the stone and rock.
Ivan- dwarf fighter, fights with a tower shield, and would give crom a run for his money on the dwarfiniess front.
Thorin- dwarf ranger, lost both his parents and most of his clan to a raid by the giants in the mountains, been hunting them since. A darker and more angry dwarf
Varion, half-elf magus. Quizzical and curious. Though prefers more practical endeavors to reading most of the time.

While I sadly can't commit to GM'ing I'd also like to put my hat into the ring for consideration of a PC...
Notice you're collectively low on arcane magicks - would actually like to rebadge your Ulfen Transmuter as a Linnorm (Wild)blooded Sorcerer.
Would likely re-build him from the ground up - make him more primordial and chaotic in his mindset and more "norse" in flavour.
I'm an active poster here on the boards and experienced player, but appreciate that a new GM may have their own ideas of group requirements/game flavour etc.
Keep me in mind :)
Cheers

Hello, interested people!
I've read the thread, and I'm just about to shoot a message to the interested players that we've had someone picking up the fight!
@GM Deekan - I've sent you a PM with the answers, hopefully they're sufficient!
@rorek55 - Yup, they sound good, and I'd be interested in playing with them. But after (hopefully) GM Deekan picks up the game, there's bound to be a recruitment, and you're free to apply with whichever one you like the best. So far we've had a fairly un-balanced party for all the levels so far, but it turns out balance isn't that big of a deal.
@Black Dow - glad you're interested too. I'd be averse to re-creating Nerak, since it's another player's character, but there's no reason why you can't apply with a new character!
I'm exactly 83% sure that the next book starts in Trunau, the biggest non-orc settlement in the Hold of Belkzen and our characters' hometown, so you can be an old friend, a new arrival, or simply a seasoned traveller.
Again, I'm keeping an eye on the thread, and I'm here to answer questions. You can take a look at the game, too, if you'd like, and here is some background information to Trunau and the Hold of Belkzen. And, finally, here's the Player's Guide, although we did start a bit later than the adventure's beginning.
Thanks again for the interest!
