Covering the 12 hour shift tomorrow and then Rise of the Runelords on Sunday. Should be a quiet weekend if I am lucky.

I know I'm not spending time with my wife. I'm getting home from Virginia later tonight and she's working all weekend.

Beyond that, I'm not sure if anything has been planned in my absence.

Hooray!!! I'm running a fever of 101 and I am chilled, aching, and getting sick to my stomach. Yay!!! The first time my GF and I have my place all to ourselves in 6 months! Yay!!! I think I'm dying.

Ugh. I hope you feel better, Cal!

On an unrelated note: Is anyone here planning to go to PAX Unplugged next week?

Thanks, Haladir! The affliction, whatever it was, had passed by Saturday afternoon.

Is that like MTV Unplugged?

No travel plans this week, the weather should be pretty f@@$ed up and I'd rather not go anywhere out of town.

I'm *just* south enough that the snow should miss.

Pretty much! The games at PAX Unplugged don't need a computer.

Now that everyone has had a chance to at least partially recover from a food coma what's planned for the weekend? Gaming, working, more eating?

I regrettably had to cancel my game this weekend. That means it will have been a totally game-less November. But I'm really not feeling well with my depression and I haven't been able to even think of putting together an adventure for my group. I really hated to do it, but on top of not sketching out a game, I haven't had the emotional or even physical energy to clean my house. It hasn't been touched in a month and I'd be too embarrassed to let anyone see it like it is.

So, postponed and hopefully, we'll reconvene on December 14th.

We also have cancelled our Savage Tide game this week, between people traveling, being busy with holiday- and family-related stuff, and so forth. We should resume next Saturday.

5e game on Tuesday should proceed as normal. We had a big Death Stranding related shindig a week ago Friday at one of the players' houses and a mini-Thanksgiving at our session this past Tuesday.

Going to see Frozen 2 on Saturday, then Skull and Shackles on Sunday. We’ll wrap up a bit early to make it to Trans Siberian Orchestra at 7:30.

TSO!!! I've seen them at least 9 times.

Noice.

Out at my mother's. I'm setting up her new TV (Amazon Prime no longer works on her old one and she was due for an upgrade anyway). Getting details ironed out for both mothers to be on our phone plan with new phones all-around. Aiymi's phone won't last an hour off the charger doing nothing, her mother is still rocking a near 20-yr-old flip phone, Mom just wants a new phone, and I should replace mine before it becomes more problematic.

Once we leave here tonight, I don't know what the rest of the weekend holds.

We're going to put the kids to bed early.

Went to the renaissance festival today. Spilled beer on my daughter. And I won a gold sticker at the crossbows!

Hey, everyone! Who's doing what this weekend? No game here. We haven't played in over a month but today would be our off weekend, anyway. Hopefully, we'll be back at it come next Saturday.

Should be resuming Savage Tide tomorrow after the Thanksgiving break. Then in another quest in NWN on Sunday.

Signed up to run intro quests on Sunday. Tomorrow I get to take the truck over for routine maintenance. Tonight, the Mandalorian.

I just watched "The Mandalorian" a few minutes ago. I really like this show.

Just wanted to mention that I had a fantastic time at PAX Unplugged last weekend. Games I played were:

Zombie World
Bluebeard's Bride
Cartel
Scum and Villainy
Star-Crossed
Long Time Listener, Last Time Caller
Fall of Magic
Honey Heist

I also swung by the Paizo booth and played a short Starfinder demo, and had a few minutes to talk with Jason Buhlman about Pathfinder 2e. (I'm a fan.)

I ended up dropping way too much money in small-press RPGs, and brought home with me...

The Skeletons; The Quiet Year; Dream Apart/Dream Askew; Primetime Adventures (3e); Zombie World (and the two expansion decks: The Farm and The Mall); The Indie Hack; 1001 Nights; and Bluebeard's Bride: Book of Rooms.

Very good! Sounds like it was a great time.

What is everyone doing this weekend? I'm going to really try to run something for my group tomorrow night. It will be the first game since October 26th. My depression has been absolutely crippling and I've postponed the game twice, so I'm really going to try and put something together for tomorrow.

I'm not entirely sure. Zelda is unavailable. My new, maybe girlfriend is wanting to do *something*, but nothing is set yet. So plenty of time to see if Aiymi wants to do her RotRL campaign. Or she'll want to play LotRO.

This weekend feels like a rinse/repeat. Watching the Mandalorian tonight, nothing tomorrow, and Skull and Shackles on Sunday. Gotta work up some stats for the side quest, since the Druid got constricted to death last session.

Would your group enjoy a potluck even if you didn't run a game?

sometimes you can keep the social aspects going even if you're not up for GMing.

Christmas concert at the symphony in the morning, my son's fencing exhibition that overlaps with that, a Christmas party in the early evening, and every year a section of our neighborhood blocks off its street so everyone can wander through and admire how crazy each street has gotten with its (often themed by street) Christmas lights.

DMed a NWN quest tonight - party is investigating an ancient empire's cache of living weapons, including the psionic Pandorym from Elder Evils.

Savage Tide tomorrow afternoon.

Another NWN quest tomorrow night, I'm playerside in that one, bringing my paladin to smite some undead.

5e game is on break until the new year, but some of us are getting together on our usual Tuesday to do a Pathfinder (1) one-shot. Going to need to spend some time this weekend getting a Summoner built for that.

We're getting our Christmas tree today, no snow on the ground so it won't be as Rockwellian as one would like but no worries, it'll snow eventually.

Snow should hit Sunday-Monday.

Not for us, our best chance for snow is Christmas morning.

Of course, as with all weather in the Midwest, wait five minutes and the forecast will change.

We were actually going to do that the weekend after Thanksgiving. It would've been too late to suggest this for this weekend.

Hey, all! How is your weekend shaping up? No gaming for us until January 11th because of folks' holiday traveling and schedules, but what about youse guys? Anything cookin' this weekend? (And that includes food, not just dice action).

Arrived in Anaheim yesterday for afternoon tea at Disneyland. Tonight, we see the stage play of Frozen at the Pantages Theater in Hollywood, with some sight seeing squeezed in where we can. Tomorrow, we have another tea appointment and will be grabbing curry to go before driving home. I pay my dues for this nice extended weekend by working the 12 hour day shift on Sunday, as well as Christmas Day.

I ran Session 7 of "The Ultraviolet Grasslands" last night. It went REALLY well. I'd say we are completely off-script, but I'm not running with a script, so the story goes where it goes. And it's awesome.

My daughter arrived home from college this afternoon. I'm still in the office and haven't seen her yet. I got our tree up and the lights on it last week, but we were waiting for our daughter to arrive before we started hanging ornaments.

Tomorrow, I need to finish up my Christmas shopping and to wrap the presents.

Oh... and I hear that there's a new movie about space wizards that we might all want to go see...

We will not be watching the new Star Wars movie.

Grand Lodge

I will. Not sure when, but not this weekend.

Might see it tomorrow, if I find myself with the time and a theater that isn't crowded as hells.

No games here either. For the next two weeks because of holidays, then also continuing no games until February because January is overtime season at work and I need the brain-space off.

I doubt I get to see it for at least a week, if not longer. I'd love to see itrightstinkingnow but that's not feasible.

Going to see it with the parents at 10 AM tomorrow.

Then will do the last bits of my Xmas shopping, then come home for the afternoon. Playerside in a NWN quest in the evening, and another Sunday afternoon.

I'm going to see if I can get someone to make one of the new classes from the Character Operations Manual (i already have my Starfinder character made otherwise I would).

I originally planned on seeing Star Wars on Thursday night, but a car wreck took those plans out along with my car. Zelda drove over last night and we saw it.

Zelda's busy for the rest of the weekend, and Aiymi is going to be working the majority of it.

Oh no! Sorry to hear about the wreck! Were you hurt? How bad is the damage to the car?

Saw Star Wars. Solid 8/10. Very entertaining.

Caveat: The pattern that I've seen seems to be if you liked Ep7 but didn't care as much for Ep8, you will like Ep9. If you really liked Ep8 as much or more than Ep7, Ep9 will seem a disappointment.

Maybe not 100% accurate, but has appeared to be pretty solid theory thus far.

I was very disappointed in 7 and 8, much more so with 8. I really hope this one can redeem them somewhat.

Grand Lodge

Catching a cold was not part of the plan this weekend.

Dang it.

I liked 7 a lot, so my enjoyment of 9 might be biased on that regard. I do think 9's the best of the three, though, in any case.

Adjuster is going to check it out on Monday, but the passenger side front door took the brunt of it. Rear door has a little damage, maybe some on the fender as well.

I'm essentially ok, but I do have a case of whiplash. Which, all things considered, is pretty minor.

I finally finished Christmas shopping, wrapped presents, wrote cards and forgot until typing this I haven't addressed them yet (yes I'm quite late on that), played some Civ, went to meeting for worship and then a committee meeting, visited a friend, finished baking nearly 6 dozen cookies, and saw Bombshell (which IMO was excellent, though not easy to watch; also am now weirdly obsessed with the soundtrack of all things). And now to fall into bed!

Star Wars will be after Christmas, but with my nieces while they are in town. I guess their parents can come too.
