So about to get my first rage power for my skald to give to the party and debating where to go. I've debated on the spirit totem chain and the beast totem but honestly not sold. Went with a single dip in bloodrager and going reach. So was debating if I should try going with more of a rage cycle type build...so to start I'm debating on quick reflexes (giving everyone a extra aoo), Scent (give a archer some pheromone arrows) or Strength surge.

Extra aoo is useless unless they have a method for triggering opportunity attacks. Scent can be gained internally from an animal mask (relatively cheap). Strength surge is useful mainly if they are doing maneuvers.
The totems are pretty good. Either beast, spirit or celestial.
You will want the spell flexible fury to get situational rage powers like ghost rager

Sorry should have explained the part B to the plan. Scent would grant the scent ability to whoever takes the rage...now that pheromone arrow that grants +2 hit/damage is suddenly REALLY nice.
Quick reflex would first help me since I'm reach but it really kicks in when I get unexpected strike, I'm now giving the party a good chance at another attack.
Then Strength surge with savage dirty trick would be pretty nice not to mention a burst in cmd when something tries to grapple you or you need to get out of the grapple.
That spell is definitely something I didn't know about but now it is on my list :)

For your first Rage power at lower levels, Lesser Spirit Totem is a nice boost to overall party damage. Later on, you can retrain it to Strength Surge, which starts off weak but scales well. I swapped to at 6th when I got Savage Dirty Trick. Letting all your allies Blind+Stagger, with a +6 to their CMB, goes a long way. At 9th, Unexpected Strike lets them Blind+Stagger when an enemy comes adjacent. Then I took Flesh Wound at 12th for damage mitigation.
Lesser Celestial Totem looks solid if it's legal for you.
I wouldn't worry about rage cycling until 7th level, when you can do it as a Move. But then it's solid. Rage Cycle+Attack w/Unexpected Strike is usually better than a Full Attack for you, as well as granting your allies piles and piles of AoOs.
