Hi,
I asked for a build in advices and got a very interesting idea from Adjoint.
The core of the character is "A specialist who cures diseases and inflicts them to foes."
Adjoint suggested a Cleric of Pharasma with Healing and Plague Domains.
My concerns are about the spells that inflict diseases. Most of them have the Evil descriptor.
Can a Good cleric use Evil spells? All the threads I looked for that say no or don't give a final answer, but when I read the rule, I don't understand why.
"A cleric can’t cast spells of an alignment opposed to her own OR her deity’s"
"OR" indicates an alternative, so would a Good cleric of Pharasma be able to cast Evil spells? I see that Pharasma is Neutral and can go to Neutral Evil in alignment. Or is my ability to read English too bad to understand?

No, good clerics can't cast evil spells. If you were a NE cleric of Pharasma you could.
What the book is saying is that if the spell falls outside of either alignment for the cleric or the deity it can't be cast.
As an example, if you aren't allowed to ship a package that weighs more than 20 pounds, or is more than 2 feet long either of those disqualify you from shipping the package.

Generally, yes you can cast AN evil spell once or twice without affecting your alignment (but depending on your deity, they could remove your powers and you'll have to atone). But if you make a habit of casting evil spells, your alignment changes from good to neutral. If you continue to cast evil spells, but use them for good purposes, you could remain neutral. If you continue to habitually cast evil spells, and use them for personal gain or evil purposes, your alignment will eventually change to evil.
In your specific case as a Good Cleric of Pharasma, yes you can cast an evil spell but expect Pharasma to remove your powers and make you atone. If you want to cast spells without restriction, this is something you should talk to your DM about. Ask him if you can be a Neutral Cleric of Pharasma who can cast both good/evil spells, and if not, maybe you should choose a different deity.
