Revenge Patron, Combat Witch

I’m building a new Witch character and I want to use the Revenge patron. Because it’s from the Horror Adventures expansion book, it’s not addressed in any of the common Witch Guides. Several of its bonus spells improve your melee attacks or shape change you into a melee attacker. These are the spells:

Revenge: 2nd—magic fang; 4th—slipstream; 6th—rage; 8th—moonstruck; 10th—beast shape III; 12th—vengeful outrage; 14th—phantasmal revenge; 16th—seamantle; 18th—storm of vengeance. Source PZO1135

So my question is, how do I go about building a melee witch? They are not generally front-line fighters. What are your suggestions for feats, archetypes, and other things that would mesh well with this patron?

Patrons for a witch aren't hugely important. Obviously there are a few powerful spells that aren't on the witch list that would be nice to grab, and a patron that does that is a nice bonus, but since a witch can learn any spell on her list and there are plenty of good witch spells anyway, it usually doesn't make that much difference.

The only real good spell for your concept from that Patron is magic fang and beast shape, and they are going to be tough to work together since you have to cast magic fang first (beast shape won't let you cast spells) and you probably won't have an appropriate natural weapon then unless you get it some other way.

Personally, I wouldn't let the patron determine my combat style, a revenge patron witch will be more powerful staying out of melee than one that is.

You will face multiple challenges building an effective melee character. You have poor BAB, are unable to wear armor, and are unlikely to have as good of physical stats as other frontliners. Feats and magic can mitigate some of these to an extent, but it will be an uphill struggle.

If I wanted to make a melee witch I'd probably look at the beast-bonded or synergist as both can give you natural attacks without using spells. There are also natural attack giving hexes that can help.

I would suggest taking the white haired witch archetype. If you decide not to take the archetype you might try looking at the following hexes:

Flight
Mud Witch
Nails
Poison Touch
Prehensile Hair,

For feats I would either look at ones that will improve your ability to grapple or anything that will chain off of the feat "Feral Combat Training". This does mean you would have to take improved unarmed fighting which is annoying but most of the feats you'll want have it as a pre-req anyway.
