What are some good uses for the mystic spell/ability mind link? Mind link is a class feature of mystics, so I feel like the uses should be obvious. But I can't think of many.
It can be useful if you encounter a creature that you can't communicate with if that creature is willing to allow you to cast a spell on it. That's really niche.
What am I missing? Are there other uses? Has anybody used mind link in their games?

As Mind Link is not language dependent, you can Mind Link to that brand new creature that no one else in the party can speak with and at least start a dialog. Honestly, with an Envoy who can mime that you come in peace and a Mystic doing the mindlink, you can get a LOT of peaceful contacts going on.

I wish their were solid rules on using it with Diplomacy and Intimidate. Because I feel like their is a lot of potential for certain Mystics, like Overlords, to get some heavy thematic mileage out of being able to scare/seduce/charm the pants off an enemy with just a touch.
Since both skills mention “conversation” (so not one sided) though, it’s only really a possibility for Empaths and even then... not supported RAW as far as I know.

I mean, you can use it for a lot of creative things, like being able to convey emotional experience. For example, say you want to share the horrid feeling of experiencing a cultural taboo and have difficulty articulating this to an alien with a very distinct culture...touch them and boom, they feel your revulsion and know personally what you just experienced. I had an idea for a pair of NPC empath mystics that used their limitless mind link ability to convey the feelings of love and physical attraction to one another to improve their intimacy (Arshea worshippers probably do this A LOT)
