Need Advice on Magic Item Pricing: No-Slip Boots

Homebrew and House Rules

Hey guys, i got an alchemist in my campaign who is addicted to throwing around Grease spells (in a bottle) and he wants a set of boots that are magically immune to slipping. Not just from grease spells but from smooth ice, wet polished stone, oil slick, etc.

I cant find a spell that does this so i have ho idea what to plug into the magic item creation chart.

What do you guys think something like this would cost?

I personally would start with the Boots of Elvenkind which give a +5 to your DC 10 Acro check. With the item really only being good for a pretty specific acro check (balance on slippery surfaces) and doesn't actually give the bonus BUT provides an auto success against it I would put it at around 3000gp.

Couple of options:

1) Use a spell that does something similar like freedom of movement or spider climb and flavor it to prevent slipping on slick surfaces. Then build an item with that spell. There are other examples of magic items that do similar things with spells that don't exactly do what the magic item does.

2) Just make an item of +X to acrobatics. This won't make him immune to slipping, but it will make the DC easier. (Bonus squared x 100 gp, max 10).

Boots of the Winterland does this for ice and would be a good place to start for pricing
